Nhận Quán Đỉnh là điều bắt buộc

Nếu con chưa thọ nhận quán đỉnh từ một dòng truyền thừa chân chính thì thậm chí chỉ nhìn vào Mật điển của một Bổn tôn thiền định (yidam) và các chỉ dẫn cốt tủy của nó cũng là điều hoàn toàn KHÔNG THÍCH HỢP, chứ đừng nói đến việc hành trì. Vì vậy, nếu con chưa thọ nhận nhiều quán đỉnh, thậm chí chưa thọ nhận Kim Cương Tát Đỏa, chưa thọ nhận quán đỉnh Shitro (chư Bổn tôn an bình và phẫn nộ của giai đoạn trung ấm) hay Bát Đại Heruka cùng các hình tướng an bình và phẫn nộ của Đạo Sư (Liên Hoa Sinh), thực hành tiếp cận-và-thành tựu của con sẽ là hoàn toàn không đầy đủ.

If you have not received an empowered and authentic lineage then even just looking into the tantra of a meditational deity (yi dam) and its pith instructions is entirely inappropriate, to say nothing of practicing. So, if you have not obtained many empowerments, have not even obtained Vajrasattva, have not even obtained the empowerments of Shitro [the peaceful and wrathful deities of the intermediate state] or the ‘eight ordinance’ sadhana deities and peaceful and wrathful forms of the Guru [Padmasambhava], your approach-and-accomplishment practice will be entirely deficient.
